Hello.
I’m Sam White, and my childcare career began at the beginning of 2002 and since then, I have had a variety of childcare experiences and not looked back once! A great deal of my experience has been spent in management positions, implementing and leading quality care, learning and play and is why I will naturally assume the role of Nursery Manager.
I hold an NVQ level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education and I am currently studying part time to gain a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies. With this Degree I am consolidating my knowledge and understanding of early years and continually learning and experiencing fresh ideas and ways to move child development forward. It was through my degree that I studied the ‘Reggio Approach’ and found it to be an amazing example of quality childcare and learning, and is why at Little Learners we will be incorporating the approach into our own as much as possible.
I work closely with my fabulous team to offer my support and ensure we maintain the quality we expect. With the administrative support from my mother, I will have plenty of time to be involved directly with the children and staff within the Nursery, which is where my passion and experience truly lie.
It has always been a dream of mine to own and manage my own Nursery, ensuring that Quality childcare does exist and I am so excited and overwhelmed to be at this point. I am now also a mummy to my gorgeous little boy and can fully appreciate the anxiety of leaving your child within a childcare setting, and is why our settling in procedure is thorough and flexible.
